This brief guide will provide instructions on how to anonymize a video recording after an interview has been recorded.
Forgot to set your anonymization settings for your project and now your recordings are not blurred? With the blur recording & clips capability, you are now able to anonymize the on-platform interviews after the fact!
How to Anonymizing the Recording After the Completed Interview
Navigate to your project overview page and click the settings icon
Select the 'Blur Interview Recordings" option.
Now head to the 'Insights' tab, and click the 'Recordings' tab.
Choose the past interview you would like to anonymize.
Click the 'Tools & Downloads' dropdown button
Click the 'Blur Recording & Clips' option.
NOTE: This capability is also available for Media Uploaded in the Recording Tab.
Click 'Confirm' in acknowledgment that once that interview is blurred, it cannot be undone.
Wait for the recording to process and your full recording and clips will be anonymized.
NOTE: If the recording is long, It takes a few minutes to generate the blurred recording. You can give it a few minutes refresh your recordings page and play the recording again.
TOP TIP: Make sure to unclick the 'Anonymize Recordings' setting if you do not need recordings outside of the ones you needed to go back and anonymized. Leaving the setting on will ensure all future recordings will be anonymized in real-time and cannot be undone.
Stimuli will be blurred. However, Whiteboard snapshots will not be blurred in the recording.
