Overview
This brief guide will provide instructions on how to add tags to photos and video responses in a self captures project. Reviewing responses can take hours and hours of time to really find the theme around what your respondents saying. To help alleviate some of the pain points of searching through endless content to resurface a response, tagging becomes an imperative solution. Tags also help make reporting more efficient by grouping responses together.
Any editor or subscription owner can tag a video or photo submission. Anyone can create new tags or choose to use cross-project tags from the user's drop-down menu.
Who Can Tag the Responses?
The following roles can tag the Self Captures responses:
- Project Owners
- Editors
- Collaborators
- Omni-Recruiters
- Recruiters (only can tag the responses of respondents PII they own)
Use Cases

Tag verbatims that align with company objectives for the year - “sustainability,” “personalization,” etc

Tag brand mentions, competitors, and alternatives discussed

Tag research objectives for the specific project - “damaged hair,” “convenience,” “usability”

Tag stimuli - “creative a,” “concept 2”
How to Add Tags to Video, Photo, Text and Document Responses
Tags can be added from the 'Responses' tab, where submissions are reviewed by respondent. Tags can also be added from the reviewing submissions by 'Task' view in by going the the 'Insights' tab.
When submissions for a survey are submitted a user can choose to tag to identify the theme of that response.
Or choose a tag from the drop-down list. These tags are based on cross-project tags all editors have created within that subscription.
Tags can be added from the 'Responses' tab, where submissions are reviewed by respondent.
Tags can also be added from the review submissions by 'Task' view by going to the 'Insights' tab.
