Your organization settings can be customized to ensure important privacy and security settings are always applied to projects within your organization.

The organization dashboard is only available for the organization admin on an unlimited subscription plan.

  •  
    • Enable settings directly in your organization to ensure all your research respects your industry regulations
    • Settings are automatically applied to all future recordings by default

Access Your Organization's Settings 

  1. Login to your Discuss Account
  2. From your dashboard, click on manage subscription (only available for org admins)
  3. Click on the settings tab

Project Settings Override

  1. Select which settings should be enabled for every project within your organization (researchers can't override these settings; only Organization admins can access these)
    • Limit Access to PII: Use this to enable this setting at the project level (it will be uneditable at the project level)
    • Use Pseudonyms: Use this to enable this setting at the project level (it will be uneditable at the project level)

Off-Platform Research Usage and Limit

This section of the Organization settings allows you to view your current off-platform research usage and the possibility to request more using the "Request an upgrade" button in that section.

View Your Current Data Retention Configuration

Organization Admins on an unlimited subscription plan can also view how long respondent and project data is retained, helping ensure alignment with internal policies or industry regulations. To increase or decrease the data retention period, please contact your customer success manager or write to us at customercare@discuss.io 

To view your data retention settings:

  1. Log in to your Discuss account

  2. From your dashboard, click Manage Organization (available only to Org Admins)

  3. Navigate to the Settings tab

  4. Scroll to the Data Retention section 

You’ll be able to view how long your data is retained:

  • Respondent data: up to 6 months

  • Project data: up to 3 years

Note: Respondent data retention must be equal to or shorter than the project data retention period. To increase or decrease the data retention period, please contact your customer success manager or write to us at customercare@discuss.io

Interview Agent Usage

This section is only visible for organizations that have the Interview Agent. Organization Admins can view how many interviews have been used versus the total purchased. Usage is counted per respondent who starts a Self-Paced Activity with an AI-Led Conversation task.

Manage Project Labels

Organization admins can manage Project Labels from the Manage Organization page.

Admins can:

  • Create labels
  • Edit existing labels
  • Remove labels
  • Require labels for all new projects

If labels are required, researchers must select at least one label during project creation.

If no labels are configured, the Project Label field will not appear in the Project Setup Wizard, Services Request Form, or Project Settings.

Important: Changes to organization-level labels only apply to new projects. Existing projects are not affected.
