To moderate Live Qual Research, access the project dashboard, and create/manage research, users require a Discuss account and organization access. This guide outlines the steps for creating an account, joining an organization, or initiating the process to create a new one.
Who Needs an Account?
-
Moderators & Translators: Required for joining Live Qual Research.
-
Project Members, Researchers & Viewers: Required for accessing the Project Dashboard. Must also belong to an organization.
Create an Account
To create a Discuss account:
- Navigate to discuss and click on the Login button, on the top right of the page
- Enter your email and click CONTINUE to begin
- Complete the registration fields, match the password requirements and click CREATE ACCOUNT
Join an Organization
To manage or start projects, you must be part of an organization. There are two main ways to join:
- Join via Invitation
If you're invited by:
-
A project owner or existing user
-
An Organization Admin via the Members Dashboard
You’ll automatically be added to their organization. Roles depend on the organization’s subscription:
-
Seat-Based Organizations: You may be added as a Researcher or Viewer (based on available seats).
-
Ad Hoc Organizations: You’ll join at the same role level as assigned in the project.
Note: You must log in and complete the setup within 3 months. Otherwise, your account will be automatically deleted.
- Join without an invitation
If you have a subscription
After creating your account and validating your email:
-
Create and validate your Discuss account.
-
Discuss will check your email domain for any matching organizations.
-
If a seat-based organization exists with your domain, you’ll see the organization name and the Org Admin’s contact.
-
Contact the Org Admin directly to request access.
⚠️ There is no automated request system; these communications must happen off-platform.
If you don't have a subscription
- If an Ad Hoc organization matches your domain, you will be added as a Researcher.
- You can then request a quote for your project, and it will be automatically linked to the correct account.
Create a New Organization
You cannot directly create a new organization on your own. If your domain is unrecognized:
-
You’ll be prompted to fill out a form to book a meeting with a Discuss Account Manager.
-
We will create an organization for you.
-
Once created, you can log in and access the dashboard.
Tip: Users listed as Organization Admins can manage members and permissions through the Members Dashboard.
Managing or Switching Organizations
If you're already part of an organization:
-
Open the Project Dashboard.
-
Use the Org Switcher to:
-
Switch between existing organizations.
-
Join another organization (if your domain matches).
-
Request the creation of a new organization via the sales meeting form.
