Overview
This brief guide will provide information on the process flow of sending pre-work assignment requests to Respondents. The Discuss pre-work feature is a seamless way to capture homework information ahead of the online interviews.
Sending Pre-Work
After you have added respondents to the 'Add/Edit Respondents' dialogue, choose the 'Pre-Work Request' option in the 'Notify & Invite' dropdown.
Respondents who have been added to the spreadsheet do not need to be scheduled for an upcoming interview, and can still receive pre-work. For more information on how the respondent hub works, click here.

A dialogue will appear with a defaulted template, and a list of respondents you can send the added respondents the work from there. A unique link for each respondent will be added to the email sent to them.

To send the email, scroll to the bottom of the dialogue and click 'Send'.

Additionally, if a respondent is assigned to a session, the unique link for the respondent will also be available to copy in the 'Respondent Hub Status Page' in the 'Pre-Work Link' column for communication needs outside of the Discuss.io platform.

After clicking 'Send', the respondent will receive an email with the general instructions provided for them, along with the unique generated link.

Removing Pre-Work Access for a Respondent
Once the respondent is sent the email with a link, the only way to remove their access is by deleting their information on the 'Add/Edit Respondents' sheet.

Next Steps
Once the respondents have started submitting their assigned pre-work, tracking their progress and submissions will be available in the 'Respondent Hub' and in the 'Meeting Room' as for moderator and observer roles.
