If you need to share your learnings with your organization and/or end clients, you have two ways to do it. You can use the password-protected share link or you can add users as viewers to your project.
For both methods, users can't edit their learnings or download videos. The other tabs of your project will be hidden and the respondent's personal information, of course, won't be displayed.
Sharing password-protected clips or recordings ensures you can easily share your findings with your clients. Without granting access to your project. Password-protected clips and recordings are valid for 30 days.
- Every Research Clips, Highlight Reels and Interview Recordings have a unique sharing link
-
Highlight Reels can also be embedded directly to powerpoint. Learn more here
Instructions
- Head to the 'Recordings' tab, "Highlight Reels" tab or "Tag Insights" tab of your project.
- For each Research Clip, Highlight Reel or Recording, a sharing link will be available
- For Interview recordings the link is located under the Tools and Downloads button
- For other videos the link is located in the 3 dots menu located on the buttom of the video
- Click on Share Discussion or Share Clip
- A modal will then appear allowing you to copy the link and password for the recording to share with anyone outside of your project.
IMPORTANT Notes
- The password changes every 30 days, starting from the first time the sharing option is used.
- Each password is unique to the specific video being viewed.
- Once a password-protected link is shared, it cannot be reset or modified.
- Shared recordings only include the original language audio. Translated audio cannot be shared through this method. To allow access to a translated audio of a recording, you can add the person as a viewer on the project.
On the platform, viewers will only have access to the recording tab, highlight reels page, Self Captures page (if applicable). Viewers will have access to your archives for a longer period without having to ask for a new password.
If a moderator link to a session or a Personal Meeting Room link is shared with a Viewer from a project they are a part of, the Viewer is able to log in as a moderator for that session. The Viewer will not have access to any other parts of the project, so additional features like project settings, stimulus, polls, recruitment scheduling, and discussion guides would need to be set up for the Viewer by a Project Owner, Editor, or Collaborator in that project, in advance if they are expected. The Viewer can use the Personal Meeting Room link to practice the functionality before the session starts.
TOP TIP: Viewers will only see the translated audio for simultaneously translated archives, clips, and transcripts for projects that have the restricted audio setting enabled.
Instructions
- Head to your Discuss account and select your desired project
