Overview
This brief guide will provide instructions on how to blur interview recordings & use pseudonyms that will allow you to have all the video recordings of your sessions blurred.
Anonymization is appropriate for many types of interviews, especially when highly sensitive information will be discussed or due to industry regulations. Anonymization is available as a setting on every Discuss project.
How to Blur Interview Recordings & Use Pseudonyms
Project owners can choose to anonymize recordings in the Settings tab of their project under Privacy & Security Settings. Warning: Once anonymized, a recording cannot be reversed. The setting can be turned off at any time by the project owner and future recordings in that project will not be anonymized but videos that were blurred cannot be unblurred. Please consider this before enabling this option.
You can start by navigating to your project settings page, by clicking on the "Settings" button located on the top right corner of the screen.
How to Blur Interview Recordings
Under Privacy & Security Settings tick the box next to Blur Interview Recordings. Recordings will be saved with a permanent blur over the entire video.
