This brief guide will provide instructions on how to add stimulus to a self captures survey task. We will also cover which file types are supported, and how to preview added stimulus.
You may be asking yourself what is stimuli and why should you add them to a self captures task. Stimuli are prompts or elaborations that can be added to tasks to motivate or guide the respondent's response. Adding stimulus to a task allows you to add richer context to the questions and allow for a more robust response. Some uses cases include:

How to Add Stimulus to a Task
To add stimulus to a task in the 'Survey Editor', click the 'Options' button below the text box of the task.
Click '+ Add Stimulus'.
Upload the file to be added as stimulus to the task.
Click 'Save & Next' to save the stimulus task and continue with creating your tasks settings.
Previewing Added Stimulus
Click the expand icon to preview the stimulus added to a task. Look out for the same preview icon on mobile.

Alternatively, the 'Preview Survey' button will also present a view of what it may look like for a respondent task in both mobile view and desktop view.
