Reading Results of Tokbox Pre-Call Test

This brief guide will provide instructions on how read tokbox pre-call test results. 

 

Hardware & Software Setup

If you can see yourself in the video, then your camera works with tokbox.

If you speak and see the audio detector fill with green, then your audio works with tokbox.

  • If you can see yourself in the video, then your camera works with tokbox.
  • If you speak and see the audio detector fill with green, then your audio works with tokbox.
  • If your browser is compatible with tokbox, you will see that it is supported.

Connectivity

Your available network bandwidth must be strong and stable to continuously maintain a live meeting. The connectivity section will :

  • OpenTok API server: A green check means that your browser is able to communicate with our software.
  • OpenTok Messaging WebSocket: A green check means that your browser is able to send and receive images, text, and messages from our servers in real time.
  • OpenTok Media Server: A green check means that you are able to receive audio and video streams form other participants.
  • Logging Server: A green check means that while you are connected our team will be able to see data about your connection quality and any errors.

Expected Call Quality

In order for you to have a successful session in which you can sustain the application for the duration, your video and audio quality must rate between 3 and 5.

Anything lower than 3 or if you get a message that your audio/video is unsupported, please follow these instructions for improving your connection.

If your recruiter or Discuss support agent requests the results of your pre-call test, click on "save this data as simple text" at the bottom of the results page, copy the text, paste it into an email, and send it to the requester.
