This article includes instructions on enabling/disabling mobile and tablet access in your project. Project editors and owners will all have access to modify this setting.
Who Can Modify This Setting?
Only Project Editors and Owners have the ability to modify this setting. If you need to make changes but do not have the necessary permissions, please contact a Project Editor or Owner for assistance.
NOTE: Observers Can Always Join from Mobile Devices: This setting only affects respondents. Observers will still be able to enter the session using a mobile device, regardless of the setting.
How to Enable or Disable Mobile and Tablet Access
Follow these steps to adjust the settings:
Step 1: Access Project Settings
- Navigate to your Project Dashboard.
- Click on the Settings icon located in the top right corner.
Step 2: Locate the Mobile/Tablet Restriction Option
- In the Respondent Settings section, find the option labeled "Require Respondents to Participate via Computer."
Step 3: Enable or Disable Access
- To Restrict Mobile and Tablet Access:
- Click the checkbox next to "Require Respondents to Participate via Computer."
- This will block respondents from attempting to join using a mobile device or tablet.
- To Allow Mobile and Tablet Access:
- Ensure the checkbox is not selected.
- This allows respondents to join sessions using a mobile device or tablet.
Why Restrict Mobile and Tablet Access?
If you require respondents to join using a computer, enabling this restriction helps ensure:
- Proper display of content that may not be mobile-friendly.
- A more stable internet connection for respondents.
- Compatibility with screen-sharing and other desktop-only features.
