This brief guide will provide instructions on how to view and download video and transcripts of recordings and clips. After your session is complete.
- Every Research Clips, Highlight Reels and Interview Recordings can be individually downloaded
- Downloading videos and transcript can be done by project owners, editors and collaborators
Recordings and Clips
- You can download recordings and clips from the ‘Recordings‘ tab, "Tag Insights" tab and "Highlight Reels" tab of your project.
- From these tab, select the video you want to download.
- For Interview Recordings click on the tools & download button located under the recording tab
- For other videos click on the 3-dots menu on the bottom right of the clip
- Click on download
While you are on the recordings page you can also view the video, view saved moments, edit saved moments, create new clips, tag clips, and even share your videos. Please check our articles on how to use the saved moments feature, how to create clips, and view/download the session transcript.
Transcript
- You can download transcripts for interview recordings, off-platform research, and clips from the ‘Recordings‘ tab, "Tag Insights" tab, and "Highlight Reels" tab of your project.
- From these tabs, select the video you want to download.
- For Interview Recordings click on the tools & download button located under the recording tab
- For other videos click on the 3-dots menu on the bottom right of the clip
- Click on download transcript or translated transcript
Videos with Simultaneous Translation
Our unique translation experience means you get a video file that allows you to seamlessly switch between the original and translated languages.
- To select your language, use the menu in the video player.
- Hovering over the translation icon will show you the two languages available to you.
- Switch between the two without stopping the video.
The audio file, the transcript, and the subtitles run independently of each other. If you select a language and click Show Transcript, the transcript will match the language selected in the video. If you want to change the transcript language, click on the transcript language dropdown.
If you wish to watch subtitles, hover over the subtitles icon in the video menu bar. You can choose between the two languages regardless of the chosen audio, provided that both languages are supported by our machine transcription service.
Audio Only
Instructions on how to download the audio from a Live Interview or Off-Platform Research
- You can download audio files from your sessions by going to the ‘Recordings‘ tab on your project.
- Once you are on the recordings page, select the video you wish to download the audio from. Navigate to the "Tools & Downloads" button on the right.
- In the drop-down menu, you can select the original audio or the translated audio file. The MP3 file will begin to download.
Bulk Downloads for Transcripts and Recordings
Bulk download lets you export all transcripts or all recordings from a project in one go. From the project Overview page, select Download All Transcripts or Download All Recordings to download a single .zip file (availability depends on download permissions).
